Some of the staff are fake and are a musty, fish food smelling mess.
I am a student who absolutely loves school for many reasons and when I was in other schools I've said that I hate school as well but I didn't ever really mean it. But this is the only school that I do not and will not ever say that I like, even after I graduate. The school is OD about literally every single thing and they say that all the things that they do is to give us a better education when in reality the disciplinary actions they give, no matter how big or small the offense is, affect our education a lot more than whether or not we have our shirts tucked in. And now with the recent schedule change, students do NOT have recess or time in between transitions to socialize with their friends and they are expected to wake up and go to school at 5 in the morning, which is earlier than most parents wake up to go to work. This school is absolutely ridiculous and it is not at all a good choice for your children's education and social life.
I was truly blessed with the teachers and staff here. I would recommend HCSS to everyone.
A very good school. The teachers are nice but only strict when needed. The school offers after school help. It is a college prep school. The honors program is amazing and gives you classes you need to get into major colleges.
I am a new student to this school and I got a very brief "tour" of the school. I transferred from another charter school two weeks into HCSS school year. There was little to no explanation of what was going on or how things worked. I am just uncomfortable with some of the staff. The students here are sweethearts and make things so much easier. The stress of this place makes you crazy.
Great school teachers are very nice. Classes are purposeful. Cultural diversity is what this school is about. Gives them a great chance to get into college. Over all great school. But bring your own lunch.
