I met female officer Dalpe of the Chicopee Police Department in Denny's a few weeks ago and saw her again this morning around 1:00 am at her post. She's so proud to be a cop and takes her job seriously. Helpful and considerate.
I saw her again yesterday directing traffic at the intersection where Memorial Dr begins. Great job! She's an asset to the department. Should be more like her hired. 'You go girl!' Feel safe with her around.
The Chicopee chief of police (William Jebb) pulled me over today in his unmarked SUV on Front Street behind Family Dollar after he pulled out right in front of me with zero regard for public safety coming out of the City Hall parking lot nearly causing a collision then he drove very slowly in front of me to try to get me to run the changing light ahead and I took the bait. He had another officer come and write me the ticket, I guess he just goes around causing havoc and has other people do the more boring work like stuff. This ticket was my fault and I admit that did something I should not have done but the fact that the chief of police is going around aggressively hunting for tickets like this I find disturbing.
A lot of the officers are really nice and helpful. My fiancé and I were mugged a coue years ago and the officer on our case was a great guy... Handsome too ;)
