Umm to the person looking for lemon grass; this store is geared toward Korean groceries not Thai or Vietnamese. Thus could be why they had no idea what you were talking about. THEY SPEAK KOREAN. If you enjoy Korean food this is definitely the place to go. They are very friendly and they have some homemade options that are delicious.
An essential ingredient in Thai and Vietnamese cooking. I went looking here and the proprietor not only did not carry it but had no clue what I was talking about. The language barrier was not the issue. Sadly this person was less than fully informed regarding his trade. Stop & Shop on St. James Ave. was extremely helpful. Still looking for fresh lemongrass.
